WINTER BIRD

 Not Always What it Seems…

I sketch most when I find myself in a situation where I need to listen to a lecture for a long period of time. It helps me focus on what is being said. I was doing just that when I sketched this little bird beside a tree.

I was actually trying to draw an eye, but at the angle it ended up, the eye made me think of a little bird. So rather than colouring in the pupil, I coloured in the shine of the eye and added little feet. Inspired, I put a tree loosing its leaves beside the bird with seeds to peck at. I thought it turned out pretty cute.
