PINK FLOWERS IN A FIELD

Acrylic VS. Water Colour II

I used the primary colours along with white and back for painting both pictures, and I found that the water colour version ended up more grey toned than the acrylic. I could see this happening as I was painting and it bothered me a lot. However, this could be viewed as positively if I wanted my colours muted.

I think using less white and black would have prevented that and I should of used more paint on my tray. If you notice the background in the water colour has some texture, I ended up doing this to compensate for not not having enough paint mixed up. I think it turned out looking interesting and am happy with it. I like the vibrancy of the acrylic picture.
